A group of Beti patriarchs have written to the Head of state asking him to also release the Betis whose crime is that they Stole some few francs from  Government coffers. They cannot understand why anglophones who burnt state flags attach republican institutions are enjoying their freedom while Beti elites: loyal citizens are rotting in prison because "they only stole some few francs  from Government coffers"

The group is very serious in their demands,since they reminded the Head of state of the upcoming elections and that they are his main backers.

Reactions have been varied and numerous. Some call them a group of mad people trying  to complicates the Head of states efforts to pacify the country. Some accuse them of black mailing the Head of State .Others accuse  them for making the Beti elites to be seen as the only ethnic group that has emptied Government coffers meanwhile thieves are found in all ethnic groups.

Shall their memorandum receive a favorable reply? Lets wait and see
